Numbers 21: 4-9

Why a snake? I think God wanted them to really “look at it”. “It” being their impatience, distrust and disbelief in the Lord. Reading the Old Testament we all like to think, if that were us, we wouldn’t fall into those thought patterns. Afterall, the Israelites saw the Red Sea part! They saw miracle aftermiracle—and yet the Lord sent snakes. This painting is my reminder and now yours to trust in God, His plan and His timing.
